Khushwant-Singh-died peacefully of a natural cause, specifically cardiac arrest. He was either 98 or 99 years old; I’ve seen reports of both ages. He died at his apartment in Delhi, India. Singh was survived by his daughter and a son. He was India’s best known author for over six decades. He wrote many novels, historical fiction and non-fiction books, and short stories.
“He has been attributed with pioneering open discussions of sexuality in modern Indian novels - often using graphic descriptions that made generations of readers blush. I've been called a dirty old man and it doesn't bother me one bit,” he said in a 2010 interview with The Associated Press”.
