Charlie Chaplin was a known perfectionist because he was involved in virtually all aspects of his films from the writing, directing, scheduling, filming, editing, and producing. He even composed some of the music for his films. It’s been written that he once tried making a film where he was the only person in the film.
It’s also been written that he once insisted on rehearsing a scene 342 times and the scene only involved two words. Which makes this story almost incredible was that it was a silent movie, so no one would ever hear the two words being spoken.
