I don’t think Americans are really bad at recycling but it is true there is a lot of room for improvement. According to a report from the World Economic Forum, LLC, Germany leads the world with the best recycling rate at about 56%. The United States comes in 25th place with a recycling rate of less than 35%.

So, there are 24 other countries in the world with a better recycling rate than the United States but that also means there are a lot of countries with a worse recycling rate. America needs to step up and be a world leader but this is difficult under the current administration of Donald Trump.
