England's decline began in the interwar years between World War I and World War II. The fall was political, economic, moral, religious, and social. England’s decline as a world power occurred within the framework of the disintegration of the European order, which was twofold after significant countries abandoned world War I. Monarchy. The empires of central and Eastern Europe were broken up.

New nations were brought into existence. New and old nations were highly nationalistic and jealous of one another. They were no longer linked with one another by royal families, though some monarchs were retained and restored. Nationalism took precedence. The decline of the UK is most evident through foreign trade and economic production.
