There were several suspects in the D.B. Cooper skyjacking. Barb Dayton had confessed that she was the hijacker and her claims were published in the book, "The Legend of D. B. Cooper." Duane Weber revealed the truth, on his deathbed, to his wife that he was the one who committed the crime. Robert Rackstraw was accused of being the hijacker for many reasons.
Rackstraw had the skills to plan the crime and the jump successfully, and he had extensive knowledge about planes and he also had a military background. For a while, the prime suspect was a man named John List, who had murdered his whole family in New Jersey, just days before the hijacking. Walter Reca, who died in 2014, is the latest in a very long line of suspects.
