Why do women not understand pickup lines nowadays?

I am sure they understand them. What you mean is, they don't respond to them. You are not in a position to change various women who you probably don't even know yet, so you'd better change yourself. If chat-up lines aren't working, then don't use them.

Perhaps the women find them corny and a turn-off. Perhaps they are looking for someone who actually wants to hold a conversation, exchange views, discuss things. The days of wolf-whistles, fluttering eyelashes and demure blushes leading up to a sly squeeze (uninvited) are well over, my friend. Think again.
