Everyone needs sleep. However, not everyone gets enough sleep in order to feel fully awake the next day and do their job effectively. Not having enough sleep can affect many different things during your day. It can effect how you drive, what you say and how you perform your duties at your job.
However, drinking and driving is something else that affects other drivers on the road. Everyone knows that drinking and driving kills people because the alcohol impairs your driving, but so does lack of sleep. As a matter of fact, lack of sleep could be worse and cause more problems than drinking and driving can. Staying awake for almost 24 hours could make you more impaired than drinking so much that your blood alcohol level is over .05.
