This is an imaginative game, and it's probably better to play with a team online than to be spending hours all by yourself gaming. Sea of thieves has a clear task, to get the treasure back home safely, but it has the added interest of a pirate story, as well as wonderful seascapes and backgrounds to enjoy while you imagine yourself and your boat passing through or by these.
If a game leaves you with an interest in something outside of your computer and your darkened bedroom, if it sparks your imagination to think about other worlds, I reckon it's doing a fair job.
