Probably not. If Aubrey Oday wanted to major as a singer, she has all the contacts and network to do this. All she'd need is the voice. Her single - EP Between - didn't rock the world. She's had many careers in one and has proved herself competent or better.
If she had the voice it seems unlikely that she wouldn't have found a way to the top. Singing in a band requires a good voice amongst other skills, but it doesn't require a great voice. A solo singer does need this and Oday hasn't gone this route. Yet. We could be in for a surprise if she does.
