Fortnite, a multiplayer online shooter game released July 2017, is a huge craze amongst kids aged 8 upwards. Its full name is Fortnite: Battle Royale. With something like 63,000 kids playing it, sometimes creeping out of bed in the early hours to do so, the originators must be leaping for joy.
+Developed by the company, Epic, it started as a four-player cooperative survival game set on a postapocalyptic Earth. Players had to build shelters and defend themselves against marauding zombies. Then Epic saw the massive Japanese success with their PUBG, so copied the gameplay and released Fortnite: Battle Royale as a standalone game.
