You cannot change your font in WhatsApp. In the FAQ (Frequently Asked Questions) of the WhatsApp website it says “WhatsApp doesn't support custom fonts”.
You can, however, change your font size by using the “text size you select in your iPhone's settings”. To do this “go to iPhone Settings, tap Display & Brightness > Text Size, and move the slider to adjust the text size”.
