Nigella Lawson was born in 1960 in the United Kingdom’s, Wandsworth Town - a district of south London within the London Borough of Wandsworth. Her parents both had good jobs. Her mother’s family “owned the J. Lyons and Co. food and catering business.” Her father is “a former Chancellor of the Exchequer and leading member of the Tory party”.
Being Chancellor of the Exchequer means he was “a senior official within the Government of the United Kingdom and head of Her Majesty's Treasury”. Nigella has written ten cookbooks, one of which, “How To Be A Domestic Goddess” won her a British Book Award.
