There are 16 US states that are landlocked. These landlocked states are the following: Arizona, District of Columbia, Kentucky, Minnesota, Montana, New Mexico, North Dakota, Oklahoma, Pennsylvania, Vermont, Arkansas, Idaho, Michigan, Nevada, Ohio, Tennessee, and West Virginia. What does landlocked mean anyway?

There are 16 US states that are landlocked. These landlocked states are the following: Arizona,

This means that they are locked by land. There is a need to travel to other states in order to reach a body of water. There are some that are single landlocked which means that only one state needs to be passed through to get to a body of water but there are some that would require traveling to 2 US states and one Canadian province just to get to a body of water.
