There are some parents who are a bit wary about letting their children watch the Simpsons. The appropriate age for the children to watch are about 9 years old but it is still best if the cartoon can be watched with parental guidance. This means that if there are some scenes that are not fully understood by children, the parent will be there in order to guide and provide the information that the children need to fully comprehend the cartoon.

Some parents do not allow their children to watch until they are 14 years old. It is their belief that their children can already understand things well at that age.
