Quokkas can attack humans and do so ferociously. They have sharp teeth as well as razor-like claws on their big feet. While they might not seem too scary, if they feel threatened, angered, or upset, they can quickly turn on the closest person or animal near them.
Quokka attacks do not happen often, and they are typically quite lovable and cuddly but they are still wild animals and can act as such.
Quokkas are generally friendly, but if they feel threatened, they have been known to attack. It just does this to protect itself. For the most part, though, quokkas are not afraid of humans; however, it is illegal to touch or feed a quokka.
Quokkas are accustomed to humans surrounding their habitat because people come from all over the world to places in Australia where the quokkas live. They are a major tourist attraction. Their significant threat to them is other animals that have been introduced by humans. They may also bite, especially if you try to feed them or have contact with them.
