How is clarinet different from other woodwind instruments?

The clarinet, flute, oboe, bassoon, coranglais, saxophone and chalumeau are wood wind instruments. The most popular wood wind instruments are the flute, clarinet, oboe and bassoon.

Most of these instruments are double reed instrument except for the clarinet and the saxophone and the flute does not have a reed. The clarinet has many keys compared to the flute and oboe. All three types of instrument can be played by a clarinet player and all three make distinct sounds and music.
