There are some nouns that only exist in plural forms. This noun are referred to as 'plurale tantum' which means nouns that are only expressed in plural forms not in singular forms. Some of these nouns are expressed this way because they refer to things that have two parts or things that are in sets. Examples - Jeans, pyjamas, binoculars, glasses, scissors, googles

Some of these nouns refer to a collection of things . They are - people, feces, alms.

There are some that cannot be expressed in singular forms and there is no reason why they exist this way. Words like - suds, bowels, thanks, riches, electronics, odds, jitters and many more.

There are certain nouns that are always plural—the explanation for this is difficult to find, but usually it has to do with pieces of clothing, tools, or instruments that have two or more parts.

The entire list would be very long, but to give you an idea of commonly used nouns that are always plural we have: pants/trousers, headphones, sunglasses, tweezers, scissors, goggles, and panties. There are other words that aren't necessarily clothing, tools, or instruments but are nonetheless used in the plural: amends, jitters, riches, shenanigans, remains, annals, suds, folk, and cahoots.
