What is the difference between noun, adjective and adverb?

A noun is a name of a person, animal, place, things or ideas. Examples: Car, London, Country. They are five types of nouns. Common noun, proper noun, collective noun, abstract noun and concrete noun. Example in a sentence: Trinidad is beautiful

Adjective is a word that qualifies a noun, noun phrases, pronouns and other adjectives. It gives more information about a noun. Example: colour: blue. In a sentence: Mary has a blue car. Adjectives can be descriptive, demonstrative, quantitative, possessive, interrogative and distributive.

An adverb is use to qualify or modify a verb, adjective and other adverb. Adverb usually end in - ly. Examples are: quickly, kindly, slowly. In a sentence: Williams sings loudly.

A noun is typically referred to as a person, place, or thing. It can be plural, possessive, proper, or a pronoun. Examples of these are 'girl,' which is a non-descript female, 'girls,' which refers to multiple non-descript females, 'girl's,' which means the girl owns or is possession of something. 'Sarah,' would be a proper noun, because it is a girl's name, and the word 'she' is considered a pronoun.

Adjectives are words that can be used to describe something, usually a noun: that girl is happy. Happy would be the adjective describing the noun (girl.) Finally, adverbs are words that describe how something is done and usually end in the letters 'ly.' One exception to this rule is the word 'well.' When someone asks HOW you are doing, the grammatically correct answer would be, 'well.'
