Why was Barb killed off so early in the series?

There are a lot of people who still have not gotten over Barb’s death in Stranger Things. They feel that she is one beloved character who did not deserve to die so early. It probably helps that the actress set out to play the role was very effective in portraying the character. People begin to feel that they know all of the characters very well. It has been said that the character of Barb was included and was written to die.

This means that this is actually her main role, she is the person who will show that the Upside Down and the Demogorgon are real. When you think about this, this makes sense but this does not mean that people are already happy about the character being killed.
