A drum kit will typically include tom-toms, a snare drum, and a bass drum. Of course the kit can’t be played without accessories such as drum sticks, a pedal for the bass drum, and a stool. Other instruments such as cowbells and three to five different types of cymbals may also be included in a typical drum set along with drum hardware such as various stands and holders for the cymbals and drums.
The types of cymbals may include hi-hat, ride, crash, splash and china. Cymbal brushes are not usually included but you might want to add these to your kit, depending on the kind of music you expect to play.
