An orchestra may use some of the same drums as a rock band but an orchestra also uses many other percussion instruments and drums. For example you would not likely see a rock band using a kettledrum. You many see a bass drum and a snare drum being used in an orchestra and in a rock band.

Also, a brass orchestra might also use a rock band drum set. Typically, a rock band uses a drum set which consists of a snare drum, a bass drum, two or three tom-tom drums, a hi hat symbol, a crash symbol, and a ride cymbol.
