There are a lot of people who are not aware that the Machiavellian and a Narcissist are different from each other. They have some traits that are different. There are some characteristics of the two that seem to overlap with each other. There are some differences that will make it not possible.

For example, someone who is narcissistic will boast about the things that he has achieved even though he has never achieved those. His main goal is to become admired. A Machiavellian does not want to be admired but would like to get more power in order to have the ability to play with people more for their own personal gains.
