A lot of people feel that narcissism and egocentrism are one and the same but even though they are similar with each other, they also have differences. Narcissism means that the person believes that he is the center of attention and he would bask in it and be happy when he is happy with himself. In egocentrism, the person also believes that he is the center of attention but he does not get any gratification when he believes that he has done well.

Someone who has egocentrism wil have trouble seeing the situation from another person’s point of view because he believes that he is always correct. He also assumes that all of the things that he experiences are the same with what other people are experiencing.
