There are two types of wood that are normally used to create violin. The first wood is spruce while the second one is maple. The Stradivarius violin which a lot of people consider to be the best kind in the world is known to be made of spruce and maple too.

These types of wood will have the ability to provide the stiffness that the instrument needs in order to be played well. At the same time, it has characteristics that will greatly enhance the sound of the violin. Take note that there are still other types of wood that are being used to create the violin.
