Baritone violin is a type of violin that has to be tuned lower than the usual. There are some violin players who find this tricky to play which explains why this is not very popular among players. They find it complicated to play because this is not something that they are used to.

Do take note that this type of violin is only used to amplify sounds so some may say that they do not feel very important when tunes need to be played. Some find it fun to use because it can be very experimental for a lot of people. It is trickier than the usual violin but it has a certain quality that will make you want to hear it more.
