There are some crushes that are one-sided. This means that you like the person a lot but the other person does not realize that you are there or only sees you as a friend. It may suck to be in this situation but remember that crushes are harmless as compared to love. A crush is an attraction towards someone but when you are not with that person, the crush fades away.
Being infatuated with someone can suck more if it is one-sided because you intend to do more, to gain the love of the person that you are infatuated with. Take note that not all crushes are one-sided. It can be a happy feeling to know that the one that you are crushing on finds you attractive too.
