Physical bullying occurs most often in school; although, it can take place on the school bus while on the way to and from school. Middle school is the age when bullying is most common, with almost all middle school students being affected directly or indirectly by bullying. Much of harassment takes place on a playground, or it occurs wherever large numbers of children congregate. It also happens wherever there is the least amount of structure and adult supervision.
It is also common on a school bus. It usually occurs at the places where children are the most vulnerable and susceptible to being targeted. Locker rooms are too often a prime spot where bullying occurs. The cafeteria may be another place where harassment can occur. IT is often poorly supervised and rampant with cliques.
