I believe the IQ test is a good tool use to measure the intelligence of someone based on how the individual's performances in school or at work. The test is use to measure the intelligence of an individual which gives a score based on the performance of the individual showing the level of understanding of the individual. It gives us a glance as to how the individual will perform compare to their peers and how they will cope in the nearest future.
However, the IQ test only measures a small portion of a person's capacity with how fast they learn and understand their work. But it cannot be used to measure the persons social behavior, emotional state or the person's creativity. Therefore, there is a certain level the IQ test can go in measuring a person's intelligence.
