The EQ(emotional quotient) is more important than the IQ(intelligence quotient ). This is because the EQ is know as a person's ability to identify, control, evaluate and show emotions. IQ measures the intelligent part of one's brain only. With this definition one can see that the main difference between the two is the emotion of an individual which is determined by EQ.

The EQ is more importance because it deals with how we relate with others, how we interact with our environment and how to have a happy life.

No doubt, the IQ is also importance. It shows how much we can achieve in our life and how fast we can move in our career using our brain but the EQ shows how well you can keep the job and how much happiness you can derive from it and have a fufilled life.

A person with high IQ does not always understand the need to be happy or the feelings and the need of others but a person with high EQ shows how well an individual relates with others.

Emotional quotient is just as essential as intelligence quotient and possibly more important in certain situations. EQ is measured by how someone expresses their emotions. Having a high EQ means having the ability to recognize their own as well as other people's emotions. It is the ability to understand different feelings, and to use emotional information to guide thinking and behavior.

People with well developed emotional skills are more likely to be content and competent in their lives. High emotional intelligence leads to healthy relationships with others. We will not maintain a healthy relationship with others unless we can control our own emotions.
