It will depend on the type of cancer that the person has. For example, when a person has lung cancer, the tumor will form inside the lung. This is visible usually through an x-ray. It will show the portion of the lungs that is covered by the tumor. When a person has cancer of the breast, the tumor will form on the person’s breast.
Take note that cancerous cells can form in the different tissues of the body depending on where they have started. There are some cells that may travel to other tissues that are nearby. This is a sign that cancer has progressed and it will be harder to cure.
Cancerous lumps may actually appear in various parts of the body. It would depend on where the cancer cells first started to grow. For example, if the cancer cells started in the lungs, this is where the cancerous lump would start to appear. If it first appears in the stomach, this is where the cancer will start to appear.
There are some people who say that they can somewhat feel the lump. Malignant lumps are usually irregular in shape. It is best that the lumps will be checked by the doctor just to be sure what type of condition that you have. Benign lumps may also appear on different parts of the body.
