They can be either. Sometimes photographers snap pictures and then edit themselves using special software. This allows them to create precise photos of what they envisioned. However, some people work with a team and make a photo editor edit their photos. This is also a good idea, as he must have had professional training that allows them to fix your makeup and your hair on screen.

You do not have to worry about the flaws as the magic simulator takes care of all the matters instantly. Photo editors do not charge a lot however; you do need to take care about the steps they implement, in case you do not like them.

Photographers and photo editors can be different people but there are certainly a lot of cases where the photographer and the photo editor is the same person espeically with freelance photographers. At major websites and publications, they are able to afford to have different people taking the photos then having someone else do the editing. This allows for the photographer to focus on their job of just taking pictures.

All they would have to do then is send their pictures back to the office and one of the photo editors would be able to do the editing for the final presentation to be published. Freelance photographers on the other hand it would be a different scenario. A freelancer would have to take the pictures and do the editing themselves.

The reason for this is that the freelance photographer is trying to sell their photos so any editing would have to be done beforehand and increase the chances of their works being bought. So the answer to this question is yes a photographer and the photo editor can be the same person depending on what kind of situation that the photographer is in as far as selling their work or having an arrangement with a major publication.
