Many citizens are happy with their country's politics, in fact. They take the improvement in the US economy as their guide. They see president Trump as presenting a strong face to the world and downing opposition to 'weak' attitudes to immigration and climate change.
The more educated individuals find recent attempts to withdraw from world-wide responsibility for these matters quite repellant, as they do regarding the apparent support for those who treat women with disregard or worse. Further, the attack on Obamacare has caused anxiety about those with preconditions and the possibility that some will not be able to get insurance. This causes great insecurity.
There are a lot of people in the United States who are unhappy with their political system. They are unhappy because they do not see the progress with the country. Another problem that people have is they are a bit unsure about how democracy is supposed to work.
They do not trust what the government is going to do next and that is the reason why they are unhappy. They do not get news about what the government plans to do and how they are going to be benefit from it. The fact that their future is bleak is already enough to make them confused.
