Feminism is the idea that gender should not be allowed to limit a person’s potential. Early feminism was centered around the right to vote, activism, equality in the workplace, sexuality, and other critical social issues. Today, it seems more about the attitude of American feminism, rather than its accomplishments.
For example, if a woman is submissive or sensitive, she is seen as being weak and overly emotional. On the other hand, if she is headstrong and assertive, she runs the risk of being labeled a bitch.
