When Trump was a businessman, he protested against Obama being the president as he was supposedly not born in the US, and then Trump publicly voiced it. Obama invited him to an event at the white house, and he humiliated him in front of all the other guests.
Trump has also aroused suspicion about Obama’s birthplace, or the “birther lie.” Trump also questioned Obama’s literary and academic achievements. Obama was also a popular president. He was beloved and devoid of scandal, which makes Trump furious. Trump has a very large ego, and he doesn’t want to believe that a black president should be celebrated, commanded and loved more than him.
Trump says that he does not hate Obama. He does think though that Obama is the worst president in the history of the United States. Trump supporters would voice out the same opinion. People believe that he hates Obama because he has nothing that Obama had when he was president. Obama was well-applauded during his inauguration. Obama was respected in various parts of the world.
Obama was charismatic and generally well-liked especially by people who are not from America. This has made Obama and America respected all over the world. Since Trump has acquired the position of president, this respect has been dwindling rapidly. The more that people do not respect the United States, the more that Trump whines about Obama.
