Lesbian, gay, bisexual, and transgender rights in the United States vary by jurisdiction. Civil rights for LGBT people in the United States are advocated by a variety of organizations at all levels and concentrations of political and legal life. Twenty states in our country protect against both sexual orientation and gender identity discrimination in employment in the private and public sector.
The United States has made remarkable progress regarding gay, lesbian, bisexual, and transgender issues in a relatively short amount of time. Since gays now have the right to marry legally, the rights of the gay, lesbian and bisexual community have increased dramatically.
The LGBTQ community should be given the proper rights in the USA and in different parts of the world. Gone are the days when love is only considered to be normal between heterosexual couples. Those who are in heteronormative relationships are considered to be “better” than those who are in homosexual relationships. Love is not actually something that can be controlled. People are just meant to follow what feels natural for them.
There are just some norms all over the world that are being followed and this has made same-sex relationships taboo in the eyes of some people particularly those who are very religious. If people would be all accepting and would just treat each other with respect then this would not be such a big deal.
