At the moment, it does not look like the taxes for middle-class families are going anywhere in America. Most of the change is being seen at the top of the bracket, with a good sized decrease for the top bracket of tax payers. Trump promised a tax cut for the middle classes, but that has yet to be seen in any of the new tax plan. It could come for a few years, like the previous answer said, or it could just be completely invisible and the taxes go up.
At this point, it remains to be seen what is happening for the middle class of America. All we know for certain is that Trump decreased the taxes for the wealthy first, and that’s all we know is going to happen until 2019, at least.
It is not only the middle class who will be affected by this new scheme but also those who would like to retire after working for years. The plan is to get taxes in order to pay off debt and while it seems like a nice idea, the taxes will come directly from the middle class’ hard-earned money. Take note that in the process, the middle class is supposed to get a tax cut but this is only temporary.
The taxes will tend to increase in a 10-year period or so but just with a small amount. The changes will not ensure that this plan will be effective for middle-class families. Time will tell if it would increase or decrease their quality of life eventually.
