Robert Fripp, an English guitarist, composer, and record producer is from the band, King Crimson. He has worked with David Bowie on the albums, "Heroes" and "Scary Monsters." He is ranked 62nd on Rolling Stones magazine’s 2011 list of the 100 greatest guitarists of all time.
He is also ranked 47th on Gibson’s top 50 guitarists of all time. He also contributed to albums and live performances by Blondie and Talking Heads. He was offered a teaching position at ASCE. He developed a guitar technique called cross-picking, which became one of his specialties. Fripp teaches cross-picking to his students. Many respectable artists have cited Fripp as an influence and have expressed admiration for him.
