Practical applications refers to the ability to use something for a certain reason. There are many practical applications in regard to cosmology especially today. Cosmology is the study of the world and its relation and connections with space and the universe. Today, NASA is always creating things to go into space and for everyone to learn about what is going on in the universe and space.
If there is a meteor heading for earth, NASA would know about it. This is one example of the practical applications that go on in regards to cosmology. Many people think that studying the universe is merely looking for aliens on different planets, but it is more serious than that. It refers to gathering information about the universe and how it affects the Earth.
Cosmology does have practical use, outcomes that ultimately affect political decisions. As we learn more about what has happened over millenias we gain knowledge of what is harmful to our universe, and man's potential or actual part in harmful changes.
Empirical findings about many varied systems can potentially help assess global problems facing human life on Earth. Cosmic evolution's emphasis on quantitative data analyses could potentially inform approaches to studies like global warming, smart machines, world economics, and cancer research.
