The most hit season of game of thrones was season 6. Part of the reason was because writers had finally started producing new content, which intrigued viewers. Another reason was that more people were getting to know the show as an exponential popularity for the show was adrift which claimed more viewers.

As the new content was intriguing, more and more viewers pooled in and started watching the show for this version of the story they loved. The writers are to credit for they whipped up an excellent tale that has pulled at the hearts of viewers all over the world.

The season that has had the highest ratings in the history of the Game of Thrones series is Season 6. This can really be explained as this really was a season in which a vast new amount of viewers and fans started to watch the show. Season 6 showed just how great Game of Thrones could be and gave viewers and fans a look at the show that has yet to be rivaled.

Another interesting note about Season 6 is that this was first season of Game of Thrones that went totally off of the course of the inspirational George R.R. Martin novels. There were a lot of people who thought that it would be difficult for the series to sustain itself by going down this route but the proof was in the pudding. More and more viewers started watching the show which led to a huge amount of viewers and a spike in ratings.

It has proven to be the best thing for the future of the show. In order for it to get bigger and better, new and more fresh material had to be written. It was done brilliantly and the producers and writers of the show were able to reap the benefits. More viewers became attracted to the show and that was certainly one of the key goals of any big time television series.
