Japan has been in the last six championships for the World Cup. Japan actually lost several games prior to entering the World Cup. One game that they lost was to Poland. Most people would think that this loss would cause Japan to not qualify for the FIFA World Cup. However, a certain rule called the fair play rule allowed Japan to qualify for the FIFA World Cup.
They actually went through the group stage even though they lost to Poland and they tied with Senegal. However, the fair play rule gives allowances based on points received for not having players get yellow or red cards during the group play. In this case, Japan had players who were not carded compared to Senegal getting two more cards.
Japan is a country that is known for its many innovations and also its people. Their people are very keen on providing honor and they do their best in all the things that they do. Japan manages to get into the World Cup every time because of their calculative moves and their well-thought-out decisions. They do not just act spontaneously. They plan depending on what they think will be beneficial for them.
This quality may be their strength but also their weakness. There are times when spontaneity is needed in order to go further into the game. They may always enter the World Cup but they are not always considered to be the best team.
