I'm sure you must guess that the answer is Yes, unless you are a man who has not had much to do with women, no sisters and no female friends at school. An abortion, even if chosen by the women, is an emotional event and a physical trauma. It is undergoing a procedure which is not natural to the body, whereas having a baby is. The procedure may be painless, and the immediate aftermath manageable, but there is a loss and the woman herself may not realise that she is going to react with upset afterwards.
Thinking about whether to have an abortion is stressful, fearing the procedure is stressful, undergoing it is also and dealing with the possible consequences such as partner or parental disapproval, time off school or work, and thinking, perhaps, of what might have been. Yes all of this is stressful.
