We have all been to prom. It is the most awaited event in high school. However, did you ever wonder where it originated? The dressed up occasion is celebrated by schools up and down the country. For some, it is a great event. It is not quite s festive for others. Nevertheless, its origin dates back to the start of the 20th century.
Back then, it was just a tea dance. Slowly, it evolved into an annual dance. Over the years, prom has changed into a fancy event requiring fancy attire, transport and invites. There are polls for the best dressed and of course, the prom king and queen.
