The conference between a teacher and a student should be done when the need arises. This helps the teacher to know the weak student from a strong student.

In a class with different people, different level of absorption and understanding, and the different background will certainly not get everything the teacher says at the same rate. So, it is advisable to have a teacher and student conference in order to help the teacher know the student that needs help.

The conference also benefits the student, as the student will be able to get more directly from the teacher at his or her pace. The conference can be held during the semester, which would give the teacher time to examine the students and know how to help them improve.

The teacher and the student should hold conferences whenever needed. There are some people who are lucky because they are able to understand all of the lessons that they can get from their teachers but there are also some who would need some assistance from time to time.

The conference can help the teacher explain what the student can do in order to improve his/her grades. If the conference would be done at the beginning of the school year, the teacher and the students will not know what things the students would not understand. The end of the semester may be too late. Every day may be too much for both the teacher and the student.
