Apple is abandoning Intel because Apple wants to be making its own ARM-based processors. Apple no longer want to rely on Intel for its processors. They no longer want to be dependent on other companies for components on their devices. Remember Apple did the same to Qualcomm sometime last year. Apple wants to be the producer of all components used to make their devices.
Apple now wants to leave Intel behind because they want to eventually be independent in every component of the company, and push for complete Apple integration.Just last year, Apple decided to abandon Qualcomm because they wanted to start to create their own chips. Just like with Qualcomm, Apple simply wants to leave old technology behind such as the archaic operating systems that they have from Intel, which they feel is moving too slowly. Intel is just not pushing for the progress that Apple wants to make.
The technology field is booming, and literally changing every day. Companies are now recognizing that fact more than ever before.Apple is not alone in their quest for integration -companies such as Google and Microsoft are making similar moves to compete.
