Can the trade war lead to a World War?

Any dispute can lead to war if the parties are not careful and diplomatic. The US, or the Trump team at least, feel they have been at an unfair disadvantage because of cheap Chinese goods. This may be true, but all countries with Chinese shops know of the cheap prices of goods, yet alongside are similar goods made locally and these sell too.

The question has to be asked about efficiency of the local producers or is there much to be learned from China rather than initiating a trade war. I am not aware of any serious attempt to discuss the trade imbalance with China before taxes etc were levied. Also the imbalance could have been discussed I thought harsh public words nearing onto Accusations of unethical practice.

Firstly, many wars in history were, in fact, started by trade wars. Trade wars check many of the boxes that are required for a world war such as:

A war being large-scale
Some type of battlefield (although a battlefield could traditionally take place on actual land, the battlefield can be a social, health, or economic condition)
Each side has strongholds on different sectors of the globe (i.e. there are a number of countries supporting one side and the other or the side has a large influence over a geographical area)

Many experts believe that a possible World War could occur with the United States and China if these above conditions are met iftensions were toworsen.
