What is Cardi B's best song (and why)?

I cannot speak as to a personal preference for a Cardi B song, since I do not listen to hip hop. However, I have to agree with the previous answer. Why judge what her best song is off one album and one year of fame as a rapper?

Besides, she has only one solo song at the moment, which is a big milestone as a hip hop artist. If you’re famous enough to get your own songs out there, with only you singing, that’s the best song until otherwise proven - the first song where the artist is singing solo.

Whatever criteria is used to pick the best song from an artist, it’ll change from person to person. The best song is a very subjective idea until solo songs have won awards; at that point, it’s the song that has won the most awards.

It seems premature to discuss which is Cardi B's best song when she is so early into her singing career. Her fame is as a rapper, and although considered a good song writer also, it is early days. Having a baby can significantly alter or impede a woman's career as priorities and focus change. Even if a baby makes no difference to Cardi B's readiness to produce new singles and albums, she has to date only one album, Invasion of Privacy, April 2018, and this includes other artists.

However, "I Like It" has a resonance and associations that will appeal, so some might choose this as her best song. Otherwise, the original Bodak Yellow which jetted Cardi B up to the top of the pop charts may remain a favourite with her fans, and because her rapping has had such an effect on the pop world in the last twelve months, her first song might always be regarded as her best.
