There are still some places in the world wherein Amazon is still not available in. The Philippines is just one example. They are known to ship to the Philippines but there is no Amazon PH available yet. If people would need to order from Amazon, a longer process would need to take place.
Amazon currently operates in 13 countries. These include America, Japan, the United Kingdom, and so much more. If your country is not part of the 13 countries, do not worry. Amazon is doing its best to expand and offer its services to different people. Some items in Amazon cannot be found anywhere else. This explains why this is sought after.
Currently, there are five individual countries that Amazon will not ship to or allow their services to be accessed in. These five countries are Korea, Iran, Cuba, Syria, and Sudan. These five countries are deemed by Amazon to harbor terrorism efforts and they also have been criticized for suspect human rights issues. Amazon is just one country that is part of a list of them around the world who have placed similar sanctions on these countries.
Korea and Cuba are two of these who are slowly showing that they are willing to meet the demands placed on them by the international community. North Korea's Kim Jong Un is setting up for a historical summit with U.S. President Donald Trump in which the discussion of denucleration of the Korean Peninsula will be discussed. If the Un regime is willing to get rid of their nuclear weapons program, the U.S. will lift economic sanctions which will then allow for companies such as Amazon willing to conduct business in that country.
