There are a lot of people who would argue which team has the better basketball program. North Carolina and Duke. These two schools are known to be close to each other. Students who would like to get into their basketball programs would need to choose between the two.
If you would consider the standing of both teams on the NCAA, Duke is considered to be the better team. Duke is known to be one of the favorites to win this year’s NCAA. Still, North Carolina is not a bad option especially if you are also looking into other things aside from the basketball program.
The argument of either North Carolina or Duke having the better basketball program is one that has been around for a very long time. The two schools are less than ten miles apart but the schools have amounted and produced some of the best players to ever play the game of basketball and some of the best teams to ever play and not counting the national championships. Currently, Duke is the better team. The reason for this is that Duke enters the upcoming season with one of their best teams in a long while.
They are already being favored to win the national championship. The entering freshman class at Duke this season has been touted by some analysts as the best freshman class in the history of Duke basketball. That is a huge honor given the fact of all of the great players that have played in Durham. The upcoming season for Duke will be the unveiling of super freshman Zion Williamson who some have been comparing to the one and only Lebron James.
