The Amazon is a large jungle in South America. Only experts who have lived in and around the Amazon Rainforest should go into the Amazon. However, every year adventurous people think they can explore this place. Yet, they are not equipped with the knowledge nor usually the equipment to ward off the deadly animals in the Amazon.
They sometimes get lost and die in the forest. Since there are millions of miles in the Amazon, it is impossible to trek completely across it because you can’t carry enough food and water. Therefore, you should go with a guide who knows the area. Plus, you should only go a few days in since you won’t have enough food and water to carry in your backpack if you go further than that.
Going into the Amazon truly will depend on the country you begin in, whether you want to go by water or land, luxury or basic accommodations, amount of time to spend, and if you decide to take your adventure during the rainy or less rainy season. Truly, if you are up for it and have the time, you can travel almost the entire length of the river or through the forest.
Be expecting bug bites, needing several translators, and tropical weather no matter the time of year. Also, keep in mind that it may be difficult to fly out of your end destination due to weather, so tack another few days onto your trip for this.
