Even though the name of this country sounds like you have vast spaces of green land and good weather to take in, it is actually covered with ice during many times of the year. When visiting Greenland, you will have several options of where to stay. First off, camping is always one of these options because you can basically camp anywhere that isn't a landmark or ruins. The next possibly place to stay is going to be remote cabins found throughout different areas. These aren't necessarily nice or all that clean, but they will work as shelter. It is mainly locals who use these for hunting trips.
A step up from these would be chalets that you can rent from the local tourist offices. After these options have been exhausted, you may look at hostels, and accommodations with local farmers. Each winter, an igloo hotel is built, and of course Greenland does have regular hotels with varying prices.
